Free Boats, Equipment and Education
FreeBoats! wants you to get a free boat. Look to the right to find, ask for, or get rid of one. Register to let the world know what you’ve got. You can add links, pictures and embed video, and it’s all free. Upon registering you will be given access to the site as an Author, and can place your own ads as well as help build the database with helpful info such as stories or pertinent links for other users, if you wish. Use this power with respect or you will go away. No spam, porn, hate, etc., and post in the correct category please. FreeBoats! doesn’t care if you link to commercial sites as long as they are relevant, but we reserve the right to delete anything for any reason. All that aside, have fun with it.
Many of the boats listed here require extensive work in order to return them to shipshape. Some of the smaller ones are ready to go, and every once in a while something pretty nice gets listed, but restoring one of these old classics listed at the Wooden Boat Rescue Foundation would have to be the most rewarding of all.

I didn’t find a free boat I liked. - Try looking under Cheap Boats for a good deal, or try not being so impatient and/or picky. Drive farther.
I paid a local classified site and didn’t sell my boat. Now what? - Just register and sell it for free on FreeBoats!.
I don’t want to give my boat away, but I don’t want much. - That’s OK. You can list it under the cheap boats category.
I’ve got an old boat behind the barn I’ll give somebody, but who would want that thing? - You might be surprised.
